We are the ARK: Returning Our Gardens to Their True Nature Through Acts of Restorative Kindness by Mary Reynolds

  • Montshire Museum of Science 1 Montshire Road Norwich, VT, 05055 United States (map)

Bad news for the environment comes at us every day, stealing hope from the people who care the most. And hope is a vital impetus for action when fighting against the odds. In this inspirational presentation, Mary Reynolds will describe how We are The Ark offers a way to restore the Earth’s native plant and creature communities “patch by patch.” She’ll show how to weave layers of life back into land under our care to create as supportive a sanctuary as possible for our shared kin on earth. And she’ll remind us that our role on this beautiful home of ours is one of guardian, not gardener.

Mary is an Irish woman, internationally acclaimed landscape designer, bestselling author, inspirational speaker, and founder of the global movement We are the ARK, a practical groundswell movement that finally shifts the environmental game in nature’s favor.  https://marymary.ie and https://wearetheark.org/

This adult program is part of a series produced by the Hanover Garden Club in partnership with the Montshire Museum of Science. It will be held in person (with yummy refreshments made by our members!) with Mary appearing via Zoom. It is free of charge and open to the public. Bring a friend!
